What makes a good listing photo

Upload photographs that honestly show the rooms, collections, and items available at the advertised estate sale. Use images you own or have permission to use, and check the background for personal information before uploading.

• Use well-lit, in-focus photographs of the actual sale and inventory.
• Show items as they currently appear and avoid misleading edits.
• Remove or cover addresses, identification, financial records, and other private information.
• Avoid identifiable people unless you have their permission to publish the image.

Photos we prohibit

Do not upload photographs or graphics containing:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexual exploitation, explicit sexual content, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
• Graphic violence, gore, credible threats, abuse, or content encouraging self-harm.
• Content promoting hatred, terrorism, violent extremism, or targeted harassment.
• Illegal activity, contraband, or items presented in a way that violates applicable law.
• Government identification, account numbers, medical information, mail, family records, or other sensitive personal data.
• Stolen images, copyrighted material you are not authorized to use, or deceptive images unrelated to the sale.
• Advertisements, screenshots, contact cards, QR codes, or promotional graphics used instead of a genuine sale photograph.
• Malware, corrupted files, non-image content, or files that exceed the stated upload limit.

This list is not exhaustive. SaleRadar may refuse content that creates a safety, privacy, legal, or trust risk, even when it is not listed above.

How photo review works

1. Your photo uploads to a private pending area.
2. An automated safety service checks the image before it enters your listing.
3. Accepted photos move into the listing and receive optimized image versions.
4. Rejected photos are ordinarily deleted immediately and are not published or retained for manual review, except when preservation or disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law.

If the review service is temporarily unavailable, SaleRadar retries the check once. If verification still cannot be completed, the pending file is deleted and you will be asked to upload it again.

If a photo is rejected

You will see a message in the listing form and can choose another photo. Automated systems can make mistakes. If you believe a permitted image was rejected incorrectly, contact support with your account email, listing name, and a description of the image. Because rejected files are deleted, SaleRadar cannot recover or inspect the original upload.

If an intimate image depicting you appears on SaleRadar without your consent, use our dedicated intimate image removal request process. Do not send or upload the image itself.

Do not repeatedly upload the same rejected image. Support may suggest removing private information, promotional text, or unrelated content before trying a revised photograph.

How long listing photos are kept

Photos are kept while a sale is active. After the sale ends, its photos may remain visible for up to 30 days. They are then removed from public display and kept for seller recovery until 60 days after the sale ends, when they are permanently deleted from SaleRadar's active storage.

• Temporary or unfinished uploads are ordinarily deleted after 48 hours.
• Photos in drafts with no activity for 90 days may be deleted.
• Rejected photos are ordinarily deleted immediately, as described above.
• We may preserve specific material longer when required for a legal hold, safety investigation, or applicable law.

Keep your own copies of every photo you may need after these periods. SaleRadar is not a permanent photo archive or backup service.

You remain responsible for your listing content, including having the necessary rights and permissions and complying with applicable laws. Automated acceptance does not mean SaleRadar has verified ownership, authenticity, legality, or condition of the depicted items. These guidelines supplement the SaleRadar Terms of Service.
